Don’t feel bad if you don’t get in on this deal. It’s a clearance and store employees are taking most of the units. But, I was succesful in getting the last one in my market.
And, as the title indicates, it’s a Samsung Q1 Ultra UMPC for $386. If you want the display model, you can get them to take an additional 10% off.
This is for the low end Q1 Ultra, the one that normally retails for $999 (or $899, depending on what MSRP you want to believe).
Oh, and the vitals. The model is NP-Q1UAY01 and the Best Buy SKU is 8404363. This is a national clearance, so if your store hasn’t updated the price tag… the computer system almost certainly has, so it will ring up at $386. If there’s no stock at your store, ask a sales rep to check RSS (the stock tracking program for Best Buy) for other store availability.
And, by the way, don’t call. The employee you’re talking to will buy it the moment after they tell you it’s out of stock.
I got one! Killer deal too. It was just returned unopened and since they cracked the seal to check out the innards, it was considered open buy and I got the 10%. The guy just returned it too as I was getting there. Tell me how it goes.

God bless you for posting this! I’ve been wanting one of these forever. I think I got the last one in Atlanta…floor model, and the surly floor manager wasn’t going to let it go for $386. It was ringing at $799; RSS showed it at $799 on the main page and only at $386 in the store locations page. The store manager said I could have it for $386 and the floor manager was still arguing with him! I did not get the extra 10% off…took a half hour to convnice the floor manager to mind her own business and I wasn’t about to press my luck!!
