RSS FeedLeopard Preview Does Instant Alpha
One of the major irkers about iWork ’08 is that it doesn’t allow you to save those great instant-alpha channel images you can whip up in Keynote and Pages.
But, here’s the good news, Preview in Leopard has the same Instant Alpha tools… and actually, they’re even improved from what was in iWork ’08. And yes, you can copy, crop, and save these images.
I’m sure you’re now going to go through your massive stockpile of clip art now and alpha channel all of it. Have fun…

Thanks for the great tip. In addition, you can copy any object from an iWork application to the clipboard and use that to create a new image in Preview… just File -> New from clipboard. Now you won’t need to re-do any edits you’ve already made in your other applications.
