The MobileEdition site did go down about 24 hours ago. No, it isn’t because of Apple, and no, MobileEdition is not vaporware.
The problem happened because of two MobileEdition servers (one in prototype mode, and one in realtime mode) getting confused about who was in control of the web. And, the two sorta wiped each other out.
Luckily, as we say… we have backups! No data was lost, but we were down for a few several many hours. Everything is back up to speed, and we encourage you to keep signing up.
We are still on track to give all the release details, and a few new things… in a week and a half.
Note: Please don’t re-sign up. No sign ups were lost in the process.
