    Apple, Go to CTIA

By Christopher Price on March 3, 2008

One thing that bugs me about Apple’s insertion into the phone industry, is their snubbing of CTIA. I can sort of understand last year, Apple not wanting to provide live demos of iPhone at the show. The device was unfinished, and Apple is against showing off unfinished products to the public. However, this year, not [...]

Suggest Some Bounties for iPhone & iPod touch Apps

By Christopher Price on February 6, 2008

Now that the SDK is imminent, I’m going to be crafting some bounties for some apps that I want to see authored. Why now? Because I want these apps to be mainstream, so that exponentially more people will actually use them. I want you to suggest some apps that you’d like to see sponsored. Post [...]

iPod touch Accessory: Clip-on Speaker & Case

By Christopher Price on January 20, 2008

The iPod touch is a great device, unfortunately, Apple neutered it in a few ways to push iPhone sales. One of which that really bugs me is the lack of a speaker. With the February SDK about to be released, iPod touch is primed and ready to be a first-class PDA. Problem is, it lacks [...]

iPod TV: Mac mini is the new Apple TV

By Christopher Price on January 11, 2008

Some have argued Apple TV and Mac mini would eventually consolidated, I’m going to go a bit deeper today. Since last Macworld Expo, Apple has had two almost-identical products; Mac mini and Apple TV. While they appear different on the outside, on the inside, they’re nearly identical. Mac mini is designed for computer use, Apple [...]

No CES for Me This Year

By Christopher Price on January 1, 2008

Sorry, I won’t be at CES ’08. I didn’t realize that Macworld Expo and CES didn’t overlap this year (it is the first time they haven’t overlapped… that I can remember right now). Not foreseeing that, I already locked in other plans for next week… oh well, hopefully this will stick and I can attend [...]

    QuickTime 7.3.1 & GarageBand 4.1.1 Are Out

By Christopher Price on December 13, 2007

Apple Software Update now lists QuickTime 7.3.1 and GarageBand 4.1.1. Looks like the QuickTime update fixes that nasty RTSP exploit that was demonstrated on Second Life. Update away! QuickTime 7.3.1 QuickTime 7.3.1 addresses security issues. This update is recommended for all QuickTime 7 users. For detailed information on this update, please visit this website: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61798 [...]

Apple One to One & Consultants

By Christopher Price on December 6, 2007

Like so many in this modern tech culture, I do some consulting on the side. You don’t want to see my rates… I keep my client list small and the invoices large. Of course, my clients know going in that they’re getting top-top-top notch service, so it’s not a big deal when they see the [...]

iPhone Wireless Sync: Putting the Social to Shame

By Christopher Price on November 28, 2007

I’ve already touched on today, over on the PhoneNews.com Forums (in this post), that I suspect the February iPhone upgrade (I’m not calling it an update anymore) will offer Wireless Sync support. And, not the cheap Ad-hock Wireless Sync that Zune 2.0 added, but full wireless sync capacity… at least, the ability to sync using [...]
