The Electoral College Goes Web 2.0

As I posted in an update over on CheapenGadget.com, the electoral college map went Web 2.0 this year.

ABC News is hosting an Adobe Flash-infused version of the election results. The nice thing about it, is that results are updated instantly. There’s no waiting for the page to reload, and no auto-reloading required. This is a huge step forward in server traffic, since web pages can be pushed to people who would otherwise be reloading (wasting bandwidth).

And, the UI is pretty slick too… keep an eye out for when the page instantly delivers new results. It’s very well done.
