Want me to get an Eee?

I could provide a lot of benchmarks, commentary, analysis, maybe even pull a few new tips and tricks with an Eee.

But, it would take time to do… and the only way Asus will front me one is if I wait for the WiMAX-enabled Eee. That means a $400 hole in my wallet.

So, with that in mind, what would you like me to do with an Eee? If I get enough feedback, I might actually get one.

Hey Chris – i vote that you get an EEE PC, add more RAM (I believe 2 GB is the max), set up XP, Vista and Ubuntu 8 in a triple boot setup, and then sell it to me. (I could do all these things myself, but the time to wife-getting-mad ratio is completely bad.)

Having Vista on the Eee is pointless. Even with it all customized out there still is hardly enough specs to get it to run smothly. On top of that with Vista you wont have any room to put XP and Ubuntu 8.04 as well. You might be able to put DSL (Damn Small Linux)on there with Vista but I’m thinking it will be really hard to get even Vista and XP on it at the same time.
