Unfortunately, this suggestion may have to wait for a major upgrade to Mac OS X, I hope though that it doesn’t. To push RSS, developers got together and designed something called a “link rel”, which is a line of code telling the internet where the RSS feed is for a web page. The user typically […]
Microsoft just sent out an email to me, which I found quite a bit disturbing. The email that was sent out addressed the backorder with my Office 2008 for Mac upgrade. I participated in the “Office Best. Friday. Deal” where Microsoft offered a $100 rebate on Office 2004, and combined that with the ongoing upgrade […]
Unfortunately, I am exhausted, and I’m not going to spend added exhaustion on rushing out Macworld news. Sleep hasn’t come much this year, I’ve been running on less than five hours of sleep both days. It’s coming, but it will come Friday and into the weekend after the show. I will not be at the […]
Live coverage of the Macworld Keynote is over here at PhoneNews.com Major products, wireless gear, iPhone, etc will be covered over there. The Mac-specific stuff will also be covered over here. Stay tuned to both all this week, it’s that simple. Enjoy!
Some have argued Apple TV and Mac mini would eventually consolidated, I’m going to go a bit deeper today. Since last Macworld Expo, Apple has had two almost-identical products; Mac mini and Apple TV. While they appear different on the outside, on the inside, they’re nearly identical. Mac mini is designed for computer use, Apple […]
Since I have a nifty press badge for PhoneNews.com coverage, you’ll get the rest of the Mac stuff over here. So, for full Macworld Expo coverage, stay tuned to both PhoneNews.com and right here as well. If you’re looking for something in particular, just let me know in the comments… I’ll be bopping in and […]
One thing you may not notice from the Apple Store page for the newly-released Mac Pro is references to Bluetooth. In putting up the pages on the store-side, they forgot to note Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR. Rest assured, it’s there, it’s just now an included feature. It’s listed on the official tech specs page.
I was reading TUAW awhile back, and they noted that Apple heavily relies on CompUSA in many areas for service and support. In a lot of high-traffic areas, still absent from the Apple Retail Store footprint, CompUSA was the corporate/retail location to take sick Mac systems. This got me thinking… Apple may need to expedite […]
Like so many in this modern tech culture, I do some consulting on the side. You don’t want to see my rates… I keep my client list small and the invoices large. Of course, my clients know going in that they’re getting top-top-top notch service, so it’s not a big deal when they see the […]
