    There’s quite a misconception about those “lists”.

    Those lists only show the games which meet one, single criteria… a Metacritic rating below 65.

    The other criteria, the actual transaction rate and “conversion rate” of the game, still have to be met before a game is “subject to delisting.” And, even then, Microsoft can veto delisting a game internally.

    So, it’s not a dire as the bloggers want you to think… but it’s that kind of confusion that is a primary reason why this was a bad idea to even hint at.

    Can someone explain to me why I should renew my three month Live sub into a full year if they’re going to pull stuff like this on top of issues with service stability and quality?

    This gives independent developers even less of an incentive to distribute through the service if it means the game is going to be delisted because not enough people bought it or enjoyed it, making Microsoft an EA clone in more ways than one….and gives the advantage to Sony since Nintendo is stumbling over themselves with WiiWare.
