Yes, I’m Blogging

Hi everyone, welcome to my first foray into personal blogging. You probably know me as the editor-in-chief of PhoneNews.com. So, why should you bookmark/subscribe to this blog? Because I’m going to be taking on the rest of the electronics industry on this blog. It would be quite a bit redundant to post wireless industry content on both blogs… but this blog won’t be wireless-free. We’ll see how it goes, but basically, if you want to hear what I have to say about all things phones, head on over to PhoneNews.com after you’re done here.

Now, a few things…

First and foremost, this blog, unlike PhoneNews.com, will not be updated daily. If it winds up being so, I’m very, very sorry.

Things won’t always interest you. Some of you are going to dislike my constant references to things like the Dreamcast (yes, I know gaming consoles as well, if not better than phones). Some of you won’t be interested in how I post every Apple minutia that comes to mind and stays there. But, I promise we’ll keep things interesting to read throughout.

Finally, like PhoneNews.com, some things will get technical. But, my goal is to break them down into easy to understand concepts.

So, here we go. Yes, as I indicated, I’m using WordPress over Joomla this time around. Hopefully Joomla will hit the brakes on the 1.5 release and resolve key issues that will likely further fork their Content Management System. But, I’m not betting on it. The good news is, I’m already at-work on a new look-and-feel for the site, so the default WordPress theme should be gone in a week or two.

But, don’t wait for the new look-and-feel. Sign up for the RSS feed and get the latest blog posts delivered to your feed reader.

Your RSS feed link (http://feeds.feedburner.com/ChristopherPriceNet) is a 404. Also, in your tagline, it says “Wireless consumer advocate Christopher price tackles the rest of the tech sector.” I think you might want to capitalize your last name. Please delete this comment once those issues are fixed.

I’m not sure why you’re getting a 404 error, the links are working fine when I check them (and all the feed readers check them). It could be FeedBurner had a momentary outage… please check them again.

As to the title… those type of errors are because we don’t have the new layout up and running.
