One response to “Live Mesh Updated: Look Mom, no UAC! (Updated)”

  1. Daniel H.

When I woke up this morning, my Vista laptop required an update, but my XP machine did not. I briefly wondered if the UAC was the issue – I was reading up on this the other day, and apparently Mesh was incorrectly written using COMs instead of the .net framework (or something to that effect). I don’t remember the details but it was an interesting take.

Hopefully, since I’ve already updated on my Vista laptop, I can turn off UAC and move on with my life. Alternatively, I found a reg edit today that can decrease the annoyance of UAC.
