The latest Carmax TV ad is certainly worth a good laugh, though the quality is not up to snuff for me to pull from my DVR onto the web. Plus, I’m packing for Macworld right now…
Anyways, the ad bascially has some goof in glasses acting like Steve Jobs, touting the Carmax web site. Even pulled a “one more thing” (can’t remember what it was, certainly wasn’t impressed enough to remember).
It’s just another run at Apple going full circle, it’s funny remembering the times that Apple was on the brink, and incompetent store employees rumormongered Apple’s imminent demise; “didn’t they go out of business?”
Many aren’t happy with the change, some want Apple to be the perpetual underdog, and miss the days that they could just camp in the Apple Store (before the Apple Stores became to busy to even sit down). I personally think that this is just the beginning. Apple is buying up land in Cupertino to build new offices even as we speak (and the recent HP building takeovers are just the start). The potential for Apple to deliver in ways people haven’t even thought up yet is just beginning.
