Back in June, I decided that it would be best to stay in the Sacramento area, as a means to weather the economic storm. And, that has worked, up to now. I should insert the common Geico-inspired “I just saved a bunch of money by not living in the Bay Area…” remark here.
However, we’re growing. We need local staff, local partnerships, and local high technology around us, in order to continuously improve.
And, because of that, I’m moving to Silicon Valley. The move won’t impact things much until mid-March, but I’ll probably been gone for a week or so around that time frame to make the move happen.
The great news is, things are getting cheaper to live there. First, AT&T U-Verse and Comcast are now delivering reliable internet that’s actually fast (18 mbps on U-Verse, and soon up to 50 mbps on Comcast). Two, the ongoing housing decrease is starting to take its effect on Silicon Valley. And, three, business space is also continuing to tank (since, well, so many are going under).
It’s an exciting, albeit expensive move to make… but it does mean we’ll be able to have a presence in the technology capital of the world.
im moving to silicon valley and i need a job… let me know iff u need someone with .net experience.
